Meet Tom
Tom is the founder of Atlas Physiotherapy and an experienced physiotherapist with nearly two decades of clinical practice. He began his career in England, working as a rotational physiotherapist across musculoskeletal, neurology and respiratory departments before progressing to a senior musculoskeletal role. During this time he also worked with elite athletes across rugby, football, rowing, running and golf.
Tom later moved to New Zealand, where he further developed his expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation, including gym-based programmes and Clinical Pilates. After relocating to Australia in 2014, he continued refining his practical and evidence-based approach to care — combining hands-on treatment with exercise rehabilitation and clear communication to help patients understand their condition and feel confident throughout recovery.
Alongside musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Tom developed a specialist interest in male pelvic health. He treats conditions affecting the bladder, bowel and prostate, as well as pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction and recovery following urological and pelvic surgery.
Tom recognised that many men delay seeking help for pelvic health concerns, and that very few male physiotherapists work in this area. His aim is to provide clear, respectful and accessible care in an environment where these conversations feel normal and supported.
In 2026, Tom founded Atlas Physiotherapy to deliver high-quality musculoskeletal and male pelvic health physiotherapy. He combines his extensive musculoskeletal background with specialist pelvic health training to offer thorough assessment, whole-body rehabilitation and personalised care — recognising that both areas are often influenced by movement, posture, strength and load management.
